The International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) on 17th May will once again join together in prayer different faith communities and LGBT Christian groups to remember the many victims of homophobia, transphobia and all kind of discrimination.
Through this initiative, participants pray that our society and our Christian communities may be “ever more welcoming and supportive sanctuaries for LGBT people and all those persons affected by discrimination”.
All persons and Christian communities who have contributed to the organisation of the past vigils are invited to propose a biblical verse for the 2021 vigils. The proposals received will then be listed in an online poll and put to a public vote.
The most voted verse will guide us through the several vigils and moments of prayers that will take place this year in remembrance of the victims of homophobic and transphobic violence.
All proposals for this year’s biblical verse must be sent by Saturday 16 January 2021 to firstname.lastname@example.org
